Payment Options and Assistance
Natural Energy Utility Corporation offers several convenient options to pay your monthly natural gas bill. Effective February 1, 2019, a convenience charge of $2.50 will be added to all credit card transactions.
Select Consumer Registration and enter your account information. You may then choose to view account activity or pay your bill online.
We encourage all of our customers to take advantage of the auto payment option. Payments will come directly out of your checking account on the 10th day of every month or the next business day following a weekend or holiday. There is no added fees for this option and it gives you peace of mind that you will not incur a late charge. Sign up is simple — click on the link below to complete the application and return it to the office along with a voided check.
Payments may be made by phone using a debit/credit card. To pay by phone, call the office, 606-324-3920, during our business hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
If on the bill due date an attempt to pay by credit card or debit card is made and the card is declined for any reason, payment is still due in full on that date and will be considered late after that date. All late charges and penalties will be applied.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. There is a processing fee for this option.
Send your check or money order, along with your payment stub, to:
Natural Energy Utility Corporation
2560 Hoods Creek Pike
Ashland KY 41102-2261
You may pay your bill in person at the office during office hours or deposit in the drop box after hours. If you pay with your credit card or debit card, a processing fee will be applied.
Always refer to your bill for the due date to avoid a late fee.
Notice: For customer security and employee safety, Natural Energy Utility Corporation does not accept natural gas service payments at customers’ premises.
The Budget Plan is an optional program that allows you to pay the same amount each month for natural gas service by distributing your winter heating costs evenly throughout the year. The budget year runs from July through June. Your budget payment is calculated by estimating your gas usage history and the present cost of natural gas. The Budget Payment Plan makes allocating your household finances easier and more convenient and allows you to plan ahead in the summer for the colder weather in winter.
Payments are credited to a customer’s account on the day received. If a payment is not received by the due date of your current bill, a late bill will be mailed with a 10 percent late fee added to your account. If the late bill is not paid by the disconnect date, service will be terminated. In order to get service restored, a reconnect fee of $50.00 must be paid as well as the past due balance. Failure to receive a bill does not exempt a customer from the late charge. Please don’t let service interruption happen to you. We are always ready to work with you to bring your account current.
